One of the wonderful things about Chattanooga is the sense of community, and there is no institution more about community than the public library. But, it’s the people at the public library that make the experience special — or not. Chattanooga is particularly lucky to have a library with a staff that #RockstheJob. We’d like to thank one librarian in particular this week: Justin Hoenke, Manager of the 2nd Floor at the Downtown Chattanooga Public Library. Justin, you really do #RocktheJob!
The 2nd Floor of the downtown library is for “kids, tweens, and teens,” although it’s also fun for adults. There is a button maker, a 3D printer, an area for making music, an art table, and even a popcorn machine. Oh, and of course, there are some books! Justin has been the catalyst for many of the recent changes to the kid/teen section of the library and says, “Why do I love my job? I get to connect with the community and help them find the materials, programs, and experiences they need to make their life even more awesome!”
Thank you, Justin, for #rockingthejob! Chattanooga is lucky to have you.
